ED795B: Time to chat about PORTFOLIOS!

Putting your portfolio together is challenging--but a great opportunity to reflect on all you've accomplished. We'll use this blog to work through/address questions you have about the process!

Hi fellow portfolioists.

I've used the basic portfolio template. I now have a first version of all the content up. At this point I'm going to start the polishing process. Any feedback you can give would be greatly appreciated.

The artifact I'm most concerned about is for systems, but I'm not sure if I'm offbase on some of the other, too.

My main reflection is essentially done, except for a conclusion and polishing. Is the movie flashback approach appropriate. Am I getting too personal with my reflection?

Help!

Blogfolio

Hi, this is Karl. I'm working on adding a portfolio to my professional blog. You can see the blog here. I'm adding the links down the side to share my work.

I'm using the wordpress "pages" features to move my existing pages to the new site. So far it's working well, but I'm having trouble with the sidebar. I don't have the words for what I'm trying to say. I want to say something about my style of design. That's important to me, so I'm trying words like design principles, design ethics, but nothing seems right. Any suggestions?

Here's what I have so far...

I know we went over some of this class but for those who weren't there, I thought I would share my portfolio for any kind of feedback. As I mentioned in class I am using TaskStream and right now I am uploading all the artifacts I can think of whether or not I will use them in the final portfolio or not. In TaskStream there is what is called a Portfolio Plan section where I am trying to organize the artifacts based on the standards we need.

You can view my Portfolio Plan at http://www.taskstream.com/ts/erichsen1/PortfolioPlan.html I need some help in figuring out if I am connecting the correct artifact to the correct standard because the more I think about how they connect the more I can see multiple connections. If you have any ideas, let me know.

Also I'm trying to write my reflection drafts and post them as I do them to my actual portfolio site. I've only done a couple. http://www.taskstream.com/ts/erichsen1/EducationalTechnology.html

I don't how academic or technological we should be with these or if the reflections should tell more about the journey. I've gone back to some of my courses to try to recreate my reflections.
